A collection of Ukridge short stories, previously published separately in The Strand [UK] and Cosmopolitan magazine [US]. Published the following year in the US with the title He Rather Enjoyed It.

The dedication to Bill Townend, Wodehouse's old schoolfriend and lifelong correspondent, reads: 'Dedicated with esteem and gratitude to Old Bill Townend, my friend from boyhood's days who first introduced me to Stanley Featherstonehaugh Ukridge'. It was Townend who told Wodehouse about the adventures of a friend of his on a chicken farm: the result was the first appearance of Ukridge in Wodehouse's first comic novel, Love Among The Chickens. This collection of stories marks the second appearance of Ukridge in book form.

Extremely scarce in the first issue dustwrapper.
