First edition, INSCRIBED BY HENRY MILLER: 'For Ben Sackheim, Henry Miller'. One of 500 copies. Sackheim was an advertising executive, bibliophile and collector, whose collection was dispersed at auction in 2001 (Swann Galleries, New York).

Published from Puerto Rico, printed in Belgium and issued in Paris. Carrefour was Fraenkel's own publishing company, founded with Walter Lowenfels in Paris in 1930.
