First edition.
Prudence Penny was the Home Economics Editor of the Los Angeles Examiner. In the 1950s Penny was discovered to be the pseudonym of Hyman Goldberg whose later, nationally-syndicated column, Our Man In The Kitchen, was the source for a book of the same name published in 1964.
A fabulous copy -- and, between the pages covering recipes for whipped cream cake and butterscotch cookies, there's a perfectly preserved pressed flower.
