London: Odhams Press, 1933
8vo, pp. 248. Original red boards, lettered in black to spine. Illustrated dust jacket. Spine faded, cloth a little variegated, a very good copy in a near fine dust jacket, rear panel a little marked, and with a very small chip to head of spine which has a single small piece of tape strengthening to reverse.
First edition. A Lancelot Priestley title.
Writing under the pseudonyms Miles Burton and John Rhode, the ridiculously prolific Cecil Street [1884-1965] produced four detective novels a year for thirty-seven years -- including more than seventy Priestley titles writing as John Rhode. This is number sixteen.
An excellent copy.
