Offsetting to endpapers and age-toning to cheap paper stock as usual, but a very good copy in a very good dust jacket with a single small chip to head of spine (not affecting text).

First photoplay edition, issued as a tie-in with the release of the 1942 film starring Alan Ladd, Veronica Lake and Brian Donleavy -- all of whom feature on the book's dust jacket. First published in 1941.
