Illustrated dust jacket, author's photographic portrait to rear panel. Top edge grey, leading edge uncut. A fine copy in a very near fine dust jacket with just the lightest of edgewear.


First edition -- and according to an interview he gave to the Paris Review in 1978, one of Cain's personal favourites.
