BELL, Josephine

Death at the Medical Board

London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1944

8vo, pp. 204. Original green boards, lettered in red to front panel and spine. Illustrated dust jacket. Boards a little discoloured at corners and spine ends, but a very good copy in a very good price-clipped dust jacket, chipped with loss to lower corner of rear panel, and a little loss to head of spine.

First edition. A David Wintringham title.

Josephine (born Doris) Bell [1897-1987], distinguished medical practitioner and administrator, also found time to write several dozen crime novels over a second career of more than forty years, most (like this one) making use of her medcal background.
